Universiti Malaya (UM) is thrilled to announce the “Farm Visit @ Ladang Mini ISB Open Day,” an enriching event that will coincide with the Science Open Day, Faculty of Science 2024. From the 14th to the 16th of May 2024, visitors will have the unique opportunity to interact with a variety of farm animals, learn about the black soldier fly in sustainable farming, and participate in a range of interactive activities including a petting zoo and animal feeding sessions. The event will also feature contests and lucky draws, adding an element of excitement to the educational experience.

The first 300 visitors each day will be treated to Farm Fresh milk, one of the strategic partners of Ladang Mini ISB. While tickets are priced at RM5, entry is complimentary for children below 12 years of age. To ensure a comfortable visit for everyone, the number of visitors is capped at 400 per day, available on a first-come-first-served basis.

The program is led by Aisyah Maisarah, a final year biotechnology student at Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya. Aisyah is passionate about showcasing the university’s commitment to science and education. In her words: “We invite everyone to join us for this open day to discover a different side of UM. It’s a chance to connect with nature, learn about the wonders of farm life, and see firsthand the practical applications of scientific learning. We can’t wait to welcome you and share this unique experience with you.”
“For those interested in attending, advance booking is recommended to secure a spot, though walk-ins are welcome subject to availability. This event promises to be a day of discovery and fun, and we look forward to welcoming you to our Open Day at UM’s Ladang Mini ISB,” Aisyah concluded.
